# Pricing

> Set the price customers pay for a package, and the tax.

This is the price a customer pays for the whole package. You set it yourself — it's usually less than buying each service on its own, which is what makes a package worth offering.

Open a package from **Settings → Catalogue → Bundles**, then select **Pricing**.

## Price fields

| Field                    | What it's for                                                       | Required |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------- |
| **Price (incl. GST)** | The price the customer pays for the package, including tax. | Yes |
| **Strike-through price** | An optional "was" price, shown crossed out to highlight the saving. | No |
| **Tax rate** | The tax for this package: **No tax** or **10% GST**. | Yes |

<Note>
  The package price is set on its own — it isn't worked out from the services inside. Set it lower than the total of those services to give customers a reason to buy the package. Use the strike-through price to show that saving.
</Note>

The price summary shows the tax and warns you if the amounts you allocated to [items](/set-up/service-packages/package-items) don't add up to the package price.
