# Create a package

> Add a package and set its name, how long it lasts, and its categories.

This is the starting point for a package — its name, how long it lasts, and how it's organised. After you create it, you set its [items](/set-up/service-packages/package-items), [price](/set-up/service-packages/pricing), and [content](/set-up/service-packages/content-and-media).

## Add a package

    Go to **Settings → Catalogue → Bundles**, then add a package.

    Complete the fields below.

    Save the package. You can then add its items and price on the tabs across the top.

  A new package must be saved once before you can add its items and other details. A package needs at least one item before customers can buy it.

## General fields

| Field                      | What it's for                                                                                                           | Required |
| -------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------- |
| **Bundle name**            | The name customers see, such as "10-lesson pack".                                                                       | Yes      |
| **Slug**                   | The part of the web address for this package. Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. Filled in for you from the name. | Yes      |
| **Validity period (days)** | How long the package lasts after purchase. For example, 365 days. After this, unused sessions or minutes expire.        | Yes      |
| **Featured**               | Highlight this package on your booking page.                                                                            | No       |
| **Internal notes**         | Notes only your team can see.                                                                                           | No       |

## Categories

Group the package alongside your services by ticking one or more [categories](/set-up/services/categories). If you choose more than one, pick a **primary category** — the main one.
