# Localisation

> Set your timezone, currency, and how dates and times are shown.

Your localisation settings decide your timezone, the currency you charge in, and how dates and times appear across your business — for you, your staff, and your customers.

## Open your localisation settings

    In the admin portal, go to **Settings → Business Setup → Basic Setup**. This opens your **Business Profile**.

  <Step title="Go to Localisation">
    Select **Localisation** from the menu on the left.

  <Step title="Choose your settings">
    Set each option below, then select **Save Changes**.

## Settings

| Setting            | What it's for                                                             |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Timezone**       | The time zone your business runs in. Bookings and hours use this time.    |
| **Currency**       | The currency you charge and take payments in, such as AUD.                |
| **Date format**    | How dates are shown, such as `31/12/2024` or `31 Dec 2024`.               |
| **Time format**    | 12-hour (`3:30 pm`) or 24-hour (`15:30`).                                 |
| **Week starts on** | The first day of the week in your calendar — Monday, Sunday, or Saturday. |
| **Default locale** | The language and regional formatting, such as English (Australia).        |

  Each location also has its own timezone for its hours and bookings. Your organisation timezone here is the default for your business as a whole.
